18th Aug 2019 - Fishing Report w/e 18th August 2019

Another mixed bag of typical British summer weather with sunshine and showers has kept some anglers at home this week. Next week looks as though it may be abit more settled. This week we held our first junior session of the summer an although conditions were not great the juniors; they all enjoyed their day with a couple of fish lost and one landed. The 'Hoy & Hope' angling club visited on Sunday, the conditions didn't make it easy for them, however over 30 fish were landed between 11 anglers. Jaime Potts took first place with a bag weight of 10lb 1oz, second went to John Metcalf with 6lb 8oz and third place goes to Jack Metcalf with 6lb 6oz.

  • Paul Emerson on holidayand staying in Bracken Cottage released 24 fish from both lakes over the week during mainly evening sessions using Hares Ears Buzzers and Sedge.
  • Will Jameson from Bedlington returned 7 to Coe Crag using Buzzers.
  • I Robinson returned 7 to Long Crag using Diawl Bachs.
  • Tom Jones from Washington retuned 3 to Long Crag and 3 to Coe Crag using Daddies and Dries.
  • Alan Stead from Blyth released 4 to Long Crag and 1 to Coe Crag using Parachutes.
  • Jamie Potts released 3 and kept 2 for 5lb 10oz from Coe Crag using Buzzers.
  • Mick Brown from Bedlington returned 9 to Long Crag and 5 to Coe Crag using PTN and Hares Ears.
  • Rob Hall from Morpeth returned 11 to Long Cragusing a Gold Head Daddie.
  • Josh Piper from Pegswood landed 9 fish from long crag during his club competition.
