18th Jul 2021 - Fishing Report 18th July 2021

Following another week of hot and bright conditions, anglers have been surprised with amount of dry fly action they have received. Small CDC's shuttlecocks and Shipmans have fished very well. Large amounts of damsels are hatching at the moment, so small damsel nymphs have also taken some good bag numbers.

We had a few families on Crag End bait lake this weekend, who all enjoyed some good sport.

  • Derek Collins returned 9 fish to Long Crag using Shipmans
  • Trevor Wadds landed 10 fish from Long Crag using Dries
  • David Coxon used CDC Shuttlecocks to return 5 fish to Coe Crag
  • David Rylatt landed 6 fish from Long Crag using Various Flies and methods
  • Blair Davison landed 5 fish from Long Crag using Black & Green Lures
  • Ken Glenton used Dries to return 10 fish to Long Crag
  • Jim Smith returned 11 fish to Long Crag using Yellow Owl CDC's
