12th Aug 2019 - Fishing Report w/e 11th August 2019

Cooler conditions and Heavy showers, have provided some great fishing conditions, however only some ofthe bravest anglers were willing to persist throughout the stormy weather, and have been rewarded with some excellent bag numbers. Four anglers from Galasheils landed 32 fish between them on Saturday during the torrential rain, however this shows you shouldn't be put off by the weather.Buzzers and Dries have again accounted for most of the fish.

  • Gosforth angler, Ian Hughes used Daddies and Hoppers to safely return 3 fish to Long Crag having a 'Nice Day'
  • Jim Farquhar from Ashington had a 'Great Day' netting 5 fish from Long Crag using Olive Buzzers and Klinkhammers
  • Four anglers from Galasheils; Mike Blackwood, Dave Bouard, Craig Brown and Frank Daly safely released 32 fish between them using Cormorants and Hoppers, having a 'Brill but wet day'
  • Bedlington angler, Mick Brown used Various Buzzers to land 15 fish between both lakes
  • Ray Wood from West Woodburn safely released 4 fish to Long Crag using Cormorants fished on an intermediate line
  • Trevor Wadds from Longframlington used Dries, Lures and Diawl Bach's to safely return 4 fish between both lakes
  • Peter Peutherer used Emerges to land 5 fish from Long Crag, having a 'steady afternoon'
  • Angling coach, Bob Smith safely returned 5 fish between both lakes using PTN's and Daddies
  • Joe Brown from Bedlington released 4 and kept one for 2lb using Shuttle Cock Buzzers on Long Crag.
  • On his second visit this week Ian Hughes from Gosforth released 6 to Long Crag and 2 to Coe Crag using Hoppers and Cormorants.
