13th Oct 2019 - Fishing Report w/e 13th October 2019

As the temperature's continueto drop and as the fishing conditions continue to improve we have seen some of the larger fish showing and more of the Tiger trout beginning to get caught. Lures are beginningto become more prolificat catching the larger numbers of fish, Apps Bloodworm's proving especially effective this week. Howeversome of the anglers that have persisted with Dries have been rewarded with some good sport on the surface.
  • Prudhoe angler, Tony Adams used Dries and Lures to bring 4 fish to the net including a 8-10lb Brownie.
  • Lol Seddon from Morpeth landed 6 fish from Long Crag using Black Lures, including a nice 6lb Rainbow.
  • Steve Dixon from Blyth had a 'windy day', however still managed to land 6 fish from Long Crag using Bloodworm's.
  • Roland's - Gill angler, Eric Carmichael had a 'great day' netting 10 fish from Long Crag including a 10lb Rainbow first cast, caught using FAB's and Bloodworm's.
  • D. Rylatt from Blyth used a Minkie to return 5 fish to Long Crag.
  • Regular angler, Ray Wood from West Woodburn had a 'brill' day returning 9 fish to Coe Crag using a Amber Apps Bloodworm.
  • Linton angler, Steve Noble had a 'good day' fishing Klinkhammers on Coe Crag returning 6 fish during his session, including his 1st Tiger Trout.
  • Brian Lavery also from Linton had a 'great' afternoon session releasing 4 fish between both lakes, including a 10lb Rainbow which put up an excellent fight taking him to the backing twice.
  • David Middlemass returned 5 to long Crag and 2 to Coe Crag using hares ears and Diawl Bachs.
  • J Durkan returned 9 over both lakes on Yellow Lures and PTNs.
  • Pauline Godward had a good morning releasing 5 to Long Crag using Crunchers and Lures.
  • M. Coulsen from Prudhoe released 12 on Coe Crag including 1 at 10lb + using a Beamish Killer.
  • Bob Watson from Prudhoe released 8 over both lakes using GRHE Diawl Bachs and Cormorants.
  • David and Jeff Jordan safely returned 8 fish between them using Lures, Blobs and Dries
  • A. Leach kept 3 fish weighing in at over 15lb, and his best fish at 8lb 9oz caught using Cats Whiskers
  • D. Halliday and Tam Brown had a 'superb' day each returning 11 fish to Long Crag using Diawl Bach's and Damsels
  • Ant Meadows safely released 15 fish between both lakes using Damsels, Ant also returned beautiful 14lber.
