17th May 2020 - Fishing Report w/e 17th May 2020

Welcome back to our weekly fishing report we hope everyone is keeping safe and well in these strange times, the return to fishing has been well received by anglers near and far and we would like to thank all the anglers who have visited us this week who have followed the governments guidelines and followed the procedures we have in place to try and keep everyone safe and at ease. There have been lots of large bag numbers this week and a couple of tigers have also been caught. Its been great to see some new faces at Thrunton this week, along with our regulars, and its even better to see the up and coming generation of junior anglers visiting Thrunton, and showing some of the adults how its done!

  • Josh Piper from Pegswood netted 28 fish over his two visits this week.
  • Matty Devine had 40 fish over 2 visits using Nymphs Buzzers Blood Worms and Lures. On both lakes.
  • Rob Hall released 33 on Long Crag using Buzzers and yellow dancers over two visits this week.
  • Alec Harvey returned 17 to Coe Crag and 2 to Long Crag using Buzzers.
  • John Pringle released 12 on Long Crag using Nymphs.
  • Nathan Hood released 20 over both lakes using Black/olive Buzzers.
  • Lee Masterman returned 17 over both lakes usingShipmansBuzzers andShammys.
  • Stu Ward released 20 over both lakes including a nice Tiger. Using various methods.
  • Ken Glenton returned 20 using Lures nymphs and dries.
  • Simon and Elliot Guthrie returned 13 each on their first visit and 16 each on their second on Buzzers and Dries on Long Crag.
  • Alan Nelson 12 on Long Crag on Blue Buzzers.
  • Lee Richardson had 18 on Long Crag using Bloodworm.
  • Andrew Lee returned 10 and kept 2 on Long Crag using PTNs
  • Richard Lee released 11 and kept 2 on Long Crag using PTNs.
  • Michael Hall from Cramlington netted 15 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers

Open Daily - 8.30am to 8.00pm. Monday & Saturday 5.00pm Close.

Please Note: Due to a high demand for fishing at Thrunton, we have to advise that anyone wishing to fish will need to have made a booking.

We have tried to make it fair to all our anglers, including those without access to social media, to make your return to fishing a pleasurable and safe experience. We will be closely monitoring numbers to allow 'social distancing' and it may be that on some days we will be fully booked.

We will require your - Name, fishing date, arrival time and the number of hours you wish to fish.

Anglers paying by Paypal or Bank Transfer must check availability first before making payment.
