LAKE CLOSURE: The full fishery will also be closed on Friday 13th, Saturday 14thand Sunday 15thMay for a private function. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Another great week at Thrunton, with plenty of action on Dries, Top Hats and Buzzers.
It's been great to see a few new anglers investing in float tubes, and having great success while using them on Long Crag Lake, it really proves to be a great way to reach those fish which are just out of casting range from the bank.
On Saturday we held our Troutmasters fish off, great to see anglers of all abilities enjoying the competition. Anglers have travelled as far as Ireland to take part in the competition, which really proves how popular the competition is. The Juniors and Youth's certainly showed the adults how to fish on Saturday, with two of the juniors out fishing all of the seniors throughout the day. Winner were: Senior - Gareth Beagarie from Seaton Delaval, Youth - Josh Bickerton and Junior - Jack Blakey (Unfortunately Jack is unable to make the final so his place has been given to second place; Sonny Kerr). A special mention must also go to junior angler, Sonny Kerr from Ireland, who put on an outstanding performance and will be representing Thrunton at the final in July 2022
