1st Nov 2020 - Fishing Report w/e 1st November 2020

COVID 19 UPDATE - 31st October
It would appear that fishing is a permitted recreational sport during the forthcoming lockdown. Therefore Thrunton will continue to remain open, we are however awaiting full clarification from the Angling Trust and Government. So we will keep you all updated with any further information.

A very mixed week weather wise, with some calm and mild days followed by wet and windy weather, however we’ve still seen some impressive catches and some cracking fish landed. Billy King landed two double figured Rainbows this week, John Chisholm landed a 10lb+ Rainbow, Dick Taylor’s best fish was estimated at 8lb+ and Brain Lillie netted a beautiful 8lb Brownie. The majority or this fish have again been taken on Lures and Nymphs, with Damsels and Bloodworms proving most successful.

  • N. McCall safely returned 5 fish to Coe Crag using Orange Blobs.
  • Derek Todd netted 5 fish from Long Crag using Various Nymphs.
  • Billy King used Damsels and Bloodworms to return 6 fish over both lakes, including a 10lb and 12lb Rainbow.
