26th Jul 2020 - Fishing Report w/e 26th July 2020

Another mixed week weather wise, however anglers have landed some decent bag numbers considering the time of year. During the brighter and hot spells, the fish were generally taken deeper in the water column, on the wet and overcast days, the angler achieved some good sport on Dries and Nymphs. We've again seen some nice Rainbows landed this week, and all the fish still putting up a good fight.
Anglers who have fished our Bait lake this week have had continued success, and its great to see the big smile on their faces as they land fish.
We held our Annual Breast Cancer Now Competition this week, to raise money for the UK's largest cancer charity. We have currently raised over £1200, which is very impressive under the current circumstances. This would not of been possible, if people hadn't donated prizes and bought raffle tickets, so Thank You to everyone who has helped raise money. Well done to Dave Cookson who took first place, Gary McEwan took second place and heaviest fish and Jack Metcalf took third place. Well done to Charlie Cookson who won the junior section.
