4th Jul 2022 - fishing report W/E 3/7/22

Lake closure: Coe Crag Lake (top lake) will be closed from Wednesday 20th July and reopen on Monday 25th July. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Both lakes have been producing fish this week anglers have found moving around the lakes and targeting moving fish productive, most fish caught on or just under the surface.

The Cramlington Renegades paid a visit on Saturday and enjoyed their day,

Adam Calvin kept 4 fish for 16lb

Lee Blaycock kept 4 Fish for 14lb 4oz

Tom Blaycock kept 4 fish for 11lb 8oz

Jim Calvin kept 4 fish for 9lb 5oz

Paul Sands kept 1 fish for 2lb 6oz

Best fish went to Adam Calvin weighing 7lb 7oz

2nd Lee Blaycock 5lb 5oz.

  • Mick Brown landed 20 fish from Long Crag using Black Buzzers, including a new PB of 14lb 9oz.
  • David Murray netted 10 fish between both lakes using Dawson's
  • Lee Rankin used F Flies to return 7 fish to Long Crag
  • Steve Noble landed 7 fish from Long Crag using Small Dries, best fish at 7.5lb
  • Nigel Hudson netted 15 fish between both lakes using Nymphs and Buzzers
  • Bob Bell landed 8 fish during a two hour evening session using Top Hats
  • John Barnes used Shipmans and Beetles to return 12 fish to Long Crag
  • Tom Johnson landed 15 fish over two visits using Dries
  • Lawrence Taylor netted 7 fish from Long Crag using Dries
  • Dan Hardy landed 9 fish from Long Crag using Top Hats
  • Geoff Huscroft landed 8 fish from Long Crag using Buzzers and Shipmans, including a 10lb Brown and 8lb Rainbow
  • J Jens returned 2 to Long Crag and 3 To Coe Crag using Black Buzzers.
  • Nathan Bryant returned 11 to Long Crag including two 8lb rainbows using Buzzers and Dries.
  • Carl Dresser returned 13 to long Crag using Diawl Bach’s
  • J Roberts returned 16 on his first visit using Suspender Buzzers.
  • T Boyce returned 8 to Long Crag using Shipmans Buzzers.
  • B Watson released 11 using Shuttlecocks.
  • Terry Toner returned 4 and kept 2 on Coe Crag using Buzzers
  • Ken Glenton Returned 8 to Long Crag using Buzzers and Dries.
  • Mick Jervis returned 5 using Hares ear Emergers.
  • Young Joe Camsell returned 5 over Both lakes using Top Hat Buzzers.

G Hughes released 18 on Long Crag using Buzzers.
