4th Oct 2020 - Fishing Report w/e 4th October 2020

As the water temperatures continue to drop, and the conditions become more favourable for the fish; our anglers are rewarded with some 'excellent fighting fish' and some bag numbers into the high teens. We have seen a large amount of rain water fall on Saturday and into Sunday morning, which has given all the lakes and fish a good boost, both of the lakes still have exceptional water clarity. Nymphs have proved to be very successful this week, with Diawl Bach's again taking the majority of the fish. Most anglers are still catching within the top couple of few of water, and when the conditions allow; Dries and Emerges have also taken some good numbers of fish.
We held our Troutmasters fish-off this weekend, where we had 12 adults and 3 juniors fishing the competition on Coe Crag lake. Well done to Josh Piper who won the senior competition with 9 fish, closely followed by Alec Harvey. A big well done also goes to Harry Knox who won the Junior section, and will be representing Thrunton at the Junior final next year. Thanks to everyone who turned up for the Competition.
