A huge improvement in the weather conditions has really helped the fishing again this week, anglers have seen some good action on Dries as well as Buzzers. Anglers have also reported the fish giving some excellent fights, following the fresh water and strong winds. Mick Brown from Bedlington landed a stunning 9lb Rainbow this week, closely followed by Josh Piper who landed a 7lb Rainbow from Long Crag.

  • Ian Wade netted 7 fish on Coe Crag using Black Dries
  • Ken Glenton from Ashington returned 7 fish over both lakes using Buzzers and Dries
  • Bill McCarroll from Morpeth used a Yellow owl CDC to return 6 fish
  • Jim Burtle from Newcastle used Buzzers and Dries to return 14 fish to Long Crag
  • Anthony Meadows released 16 fish to Long Crag using Buzzers and Nymphs
  • Gary Surtees used a Black Bunny leach to release 9 fish to Long Crag
  • Micheal Hall from Cramlington netted 28 fish over two visits using Buzzers and Dries
  • Dennis Stephenson from Bolton used Shipmans Buzzers to release 10 fish to Long Crag
  • Terry Toner used Apps Bloodworms, Diawl Bachs and Buzzers to land 8 fish from Coe Crag
  • D. Collins used Blobs to release 5 fish to Long Crag
  • Alex Ainslie from Craster netted 8 fish using a Mini Cat
  • David Dougal landed 7 fish from Long Crag
  • P & E Ben landed 8 fish using Buzzers and Daddies
  • Tony Irwin used a Daddy to land 6 fish over both lakes
  • Eric Carmicheal used a Buzzer and Sedgehogs to return 6 fish to Long Crag
  • Mick Brown from Bedlington returned his limit of 20 fish using Buzzers
  • Josh Piper from Pegswood used Dries to return 6 fish to Long Crag
  • C. Gray released 8 fish on Coe Crag

Please Note: Coe Crag (Our Top Lake) will be closed on Sunday 12th July until 4.30pm for a Pairs Competition. Long Crag lake will remain open as usual, and Coe Crag will reopen for the evening session. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
