9th Sep 2019 - Fishing Report w/e 8th September 2019

The continued cooler conditions are starting to provide some more consistent catches and bag numbers. There are still plenty of fish taking Dries. and Nymphs fished in the top few feet of water are also working well. The fish have begun to start chasing the fry, which should provide some good sport over the coming weeks.

  • Trevor Wadds from Longframlington used Diawl Bach's and Lures to safely return 9 fish between both lakes
  • Brian Scrowther had a 'windy but good' day returning 10 fish to Coe Crag in a for hour session using CDC's and Nymphs
  • Morpeth angler, Rob Hall used Diawl Bach's and Buzzers fished 3ft down, to return 18 fish to Coe Crag and Long Crag over two visits.
  • Roger Inverarity netted 6 fish between both lakes pulling a Sedge on the surface.
  • Gary Hester from Newcastle returned 4 and kept 3 for a bag weight of 12lb 2oz from Long Crag best fish returned was 8lb using Bloodworms.
  • Arnie Birchinal from Blyth released 6 on Long Crag using Bloodworms.
  • Austin Churm used Crunchers and Snatchers to safely return 7 fish to Coe Crag
  • Mick Kelly from Swarland used Daddies and Sedge Hogs to safely release 7 fish between both lakes
  • On his second visit later in the week mick released 6 to Long Crag using Sedge Hogs.
  • E. Mosey had a very good day returning 7 fish to Long Crag using an Olive Fritz.
  • Josh Piper from Morpeth released 5 over both lakes using Buzzers.
  • B White from Jarrow released 3 and kept 3 for 6lb 15oz from Coe Crag on Olive Buzzers.
